LET’S MEET SHRIMP!

THE PINT-SIZED CRUSTACEAN WITH A BIG APPETITE FOR ADVENTURE!

Shrimp is one shell of a guy, with a colorful personality that matches his vibrant exterior. He's never afraid to ask questions and always up for an adventure! Shrimp loves to hit the road in style with his trusty travel hat. He's the life of the party, dancing up a storm with his parasol and snapping pics for the scrapbook. And when it comes to mischief-making, you better believe he and his partner in crime, Lobster, are the ultimate dynamic duo.

LET’S MEET LOBSTER!

DON'T LET LOBSTER'S GIANT CLAWS SCARE YOU.

This little guy sticks mainly to himself and enjoys the zen in life especially while building rock totems. Lobster has an appreciation for history and architecture. Don't press the snooze button yet, he is one to throw in a practical joke or two and will take on any challenge of strength, after all he does collect rocks! Although Lobster is more of an introvert, when it comes to exploration he's all in, especially with his wacky salty bff Shrimp.

about THE AUTHOR

CHAROLETTE RYGH WANTS YOU TO GET OUT AND GO EXPLORING....WITH SHRIMP N' LOBSTER.

The ocean and exploration are two of the same for Charlotte, who invested her passion for art and storytelling to graduate from NYU Film school. Her volunteer work introduced her to the expedition of the adventurous David De Rothschild’s Plastiki, based in San Francisco in 2010. She was also selected as a delegate for the Moussem de Tan Tan in Morocco in 2013, an invitation bestowed by King Mohammed VI.

This unique experience stressed the importance of cultural preservation. In 2016 she joined the Walter Monk Foundation to explore portions of the Maritime Silk Road, utilizing an ROV – sponsored by Shrimp ‘n Lobster – to discover centuries-old artifacts. Her first book, Color-It-In Sea Creatures pocket book with Shrimp ‘n Lobster, debut in 2019 at the annual Night of Ideas event at the Museum of Natural History in Los Angeles to a group of eager kids ready to learn about our oceans.

As a member of the Explorer’s Club she is inspired to share her experiences through her tiny illustrations, reminding all of us that when you believe in yourself you can do anything…even when
 it’s a silly Shrimp ‘n Lobster.

"I designed these books to empower kids to ask questions, learn and lead. Making it the first step of many to an adventurous life."
